We understand that removing a wisdom tooth may seem scary and painful, but that does not have to be the case. Our dentists at Avisienna are professional and gentle at the same time, making sure that you feel minimal pressure/pain while we carefully extract your wisdom tooth. We apply local anasthesia to numb the extraction area and ensure there is minimal pain during extraction.
Wisdom teeth are the last teeth to develop in your jaws and usually, there is not enough space for them to grow into the correct position like the other teeth in your mouth. They are a third set of molars at the back of your mouth. They typically come out between the ages of 17 and 25 and our dentists use X-rays to spot them. Not everyone may need to remove their wisdom teeth, but in the circumstance that the wisdom teeth are giving discomfort or pain, we advise our patients to have them removed.
Wisdom teeth removal is very common, and recovery can take up to a week, depending on your specific case. Recovery may take longer if your wisdom teeth are impacted. This means that they haven’t emerged from below the gums yet and aren’t visible. A minor surgery may be required
