THE PROCESS OF GETTING DENTAL VENEERS:
*steps from pristine dental and will change according to Avisienna steps, if provided*
Step 1: Your Smile Breakdown
When you come to Avisienna for dental veneers, we will start by sitting down with you one-on-one to learn everything we can about your smile. We want to achieve the magic effect of your own signature smile and that is our goal with every patient. Veneers are meant to complement your overall facial features to look natural, fit organically while enhancing your smile at the same time. With mindful attention to detail, we will take every opportunity to preserve the natural characteristics that make your smile ultimately yours while diminishing the elements that may take away from it. With thorough discussion with our skilled dentists, we will figure out what type of look you desire, the variety of options available and what will work for your, your unique facial characteristics and personality features. This requires an intimate understanding of the teeth, the mouth, the face and how all of these interconnect to shape who you are. This is the reason why there will be many photos taken to help us determine the best for you & your smile.
Step 2: Outlining Your New Signature Smile / (New Smile)
We will design a master smile design whereby different ‘smiles’ are sketched for you to see the arrangements and shape that are achievable for your face and to choose the ‘smile’ you like the most. A special wax model is made based on the original models of your teeth and is then used to shape and sculpt to reflect the modifications we would propose for you. There will be a discussion with you after showing you the new model and you can decide regarding the best smile you would like to display.
Step 3: Fitting Session For Your New Signature Smile!
This fitting appointment will have your temporary veneer teeth very carefully constructed and placed atop your original teeth for a glimpse of the final smile design. This procedure is pain-free as any changes or adjustments will be performed on the temporaries. Temporaries are crucial, not only to protect the teeth while waiting for the final veneers but also to analyze, adjust and also review your smile and the anticipated outcome. Your opinion on this matters the most, so you will be able to judge and see the result of the adjustments yourself. Your feedback on what your thoughts and preferences are will be taken. There will also be more photos taken for further assessment and evaluation.
Step 4: Your Original New Signature Smile
Each veneer is expertly bonded to the tooth with dental cement and ultraviolet light is then used to harden the cement quickly. The most important step of cleaning and adjusting the veneers are the final step & voila! Your new signature smile is ready to go! Flash those new pearly whites for the camera as we take more photos and this would later be used to determine whether any adjustments will be needed. These would typically be minor adjustments - if any, as our goal is to make the most natural-looking, charming smile for you! This is normally done after a week of a trial run for the veneers to be familiar with your lips, teeth and gums as they get used to the new veneers.
